Introducing an exciting collaboration between Cleveland, Ohio-based businesses Anne Cate and author Jennifer Boresz Engelking as they combine their talents and love of Lake Erie to create a unique “BEACH BAG – BEACH READ” bundle.

It includes a signed copy of Jennifer’s new book- Lost Lake Erie - along with a newly designed Anne Cate beach bag- both the book and the bag are MADE IN AMERICA.

DETAILS OF THE BAG:
The Anne Cate illustration is printed on both sides of the bag and is inspired by a custom-designed Lake Erie map within the book by local architect & artist Andrew McManus. The bag design features many of the cities and islands of Lake Erie along with added gradient lake depth. The unique fabric is easy to clean and can even be thrown in the wash. The bag is unlined and there is no zipper closure. 18x13x6"

DETAILS OF THE BOOK:
Serene one moment and destructive the next, Lake Erie's moods mirror its tumultuous role in history. As the site of Cleveland's Great Lakes Exposition, the lake offered visitors a respite from the Great Depression, and Hotel Victory, once considered the world's largest summer resort, drew thousands to Put-In-Bay. Daring postal workers dangerously crossed the ice-covered surface on hybrid "boats" and by foot. Canal Street, at the Buffalo Wharf, was once called "the Wickedest Street in America." The Erie is one of thousands of ships that lie in a solemn graveyard below the surface. And rum runners turned the lake into a watery highway for illegal booze during Prohibition.

Author Jennifer Boresz Engelking reveals entertaining, heartbreaking, and nostalgic stories of the lost sites, businesses and industries of Lake Erie.

Give the “BEACH BAG – BEACH READ” bundle as a gift or keep it for yourself to take to the beach, pool, or on vacation. A $55 value for $45.
